Refund Policy – FAQ

Official Refund Policy Terms 

1. Who is dealing with the refunds?

It is the LisboMUN Association Board will accompany the refund process.

2. Who is eligible to receive a refund?

Delegates, Chairs, Press Team Members, Observers and Faculty Advisors that had
been approved by the Secretariat and had completed their application by paying the
Conference fee are eligible to receive a refund.

3. How much will I receive?

Refund policies vary according to the fees that were paid. There are different terms for
participation fees, social packages fees and full packs fees.

4. How much of the conference fee will delegates receive?

All delegate fees are to be fully refunded. Delegates will receive the exact amount that
they paid. (see table bellow)

5. How much of the conference fee will faculty advisors and observers receive?

All faculty advisors and observers’ fees are to be fully refunded. Participants will
receive the exact amount that they paid.

6. How much of the conference fee will delegation receive?

All delegation fees are to be fully refunded. Delegations will receive the exact amount
that they paid.

7. Is the social package fee refundable?

Social package fees are not to be refunded at this time. Participants that pre-paid these
fees are eligible for a deferred refund.

8. Why isn’t the social package fee refundable?

LisboMUN had already pre-paid for the services that refer to social events (venue, bar, etc) and hasn’t been able to get a refund from the suppliers. We have been in touch with them and are working on different solutions. If for any reason this money is returned to the LisboMUN Association (because the suppliers refunded the amount or because we used the credit with them for a different project), we will refund the amount to all participants that paid for the social package.

9. Is the full-pack fee refundable?

Delegates that paid for the full-pack will be partially refunded and will receive an accommodation voucher to be used until the 31st of December 2021.

10. How do I use my accommodation voucher? 

Every hostel has a different process. For that reason, you should get in touch with our team by sending us an e-mail or by contacting our USG for Logistics directly and we will proceed with the reservation.

11. Who is eligible to receive a partial refund?

Only delegates are eligible for a partial refund. Delegates who paid 190,00 euros for the full-pack will receive a partial refund on the value of 20,00 euros.

12. Why will I only get 20,00 euros back?

The expenses we made for the full packs include accommodation, transport, and social fees.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a refund for the amount paid for the accommodation (but you will get a voucher for a 4-night stay in Lisbon). As for the social fees, as mentioned, it is not possible to refund the amount for now. The remaining 20,00 euros refer to transportation, that you will receive back.

13. Why aren’t chairs that paid for a full pack receiving a partial refund?

The discount offered to chairs for the full pack meant that the Conference was covering part of the expenses. This means that the amount we received would be sufficient to pay the accommodation exclusively. For that reason, we can’t proceed with a partial refund. Chairs that paid for the full pack will, however, receive an accommodation voucher.

14. Does LisboMUN Association refund other expenses related to the conference?

Any expenses not paid directly to LisboMUN Association and therefore not under the responsibility and management of the Board and Secretariat are not covered by LISBOMUN 2020 Refund Policy.

15. How can I request the refund?

If you completed the payment on MyMUN you will receive the refund automatically on the original funding source. If you wish to alter this information, please inform our team until the 30th of July.

If you paid directly to LisboMUN Association, you will be contacted soon to confirm the bank information you wish to have your money refunded to.

13. How will the delegations be refunded?

Delegations that covered every participant’s expenses in one single payment will receive the total amount due to all participants.

14. When will I receive the refund?

All transactions will be done by the LisboMUN Association Board between the 1st to the 31st of August 2020.
